Glucosamine sulfate is a natural sugar found in the shells of shellfish like crabs and shrimp, and is also found in and around the fluid and tissues that cushion your joints. This tissue is called cartilage.  Glucosamine sulfate is a widely used supplement that supports the cartilage and connective tissues found around joints.‡
