Chief Executive Officer
Toby Buckalew brings a people‑first leadership approach to Progressive Laboratories, grounded in teamwork, trust, and a shared commitment to quality. His focus is on creating an environment where teams are empowered, customers feel supported, and high standards are consistently met.
Toby is a graduate of Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University and holds an MBA from Texas A&M International University. As a military dependent growing up across the United States and Europe, he learned early the importance of adaptability, collaboration, and staying focused on the mission—values that continue to guide how he leads today.
Before joining Progressive Laboratories, Toby served in senior leadership and CEO roles within regulated organizations, where he worked closely with teams to strengthen operations, improve consistency, and build cultures of accountability and pride in workmanship.
As CEO, Toby is committed to listening to customers, supporting employees, and ensuring Progressive Laboratories remains a trusted partner known for quality products, dependable service, and long‑term relationships.
David Daniel
Director of Sales
David is a 35+ year veteran in the Natural Products industry and brings 20+years of experience in Contract Manufacturing to Progressive Laboratories.
David is a 1983 graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a degreein Business Administration – (BS-Management).
Growing up in a family pharmacy in Fort Worth David developed a passion for nutritional supplements and preventative health by watching his father bring health solutions to his customers with the use of supplements.
After college and a 4 year professional golf stint he opened multiple Health Food stores within the Dallas/Ft. Worth market and operated those stores for 16 years when he then transitioned to Progressive Laboratories as the Director of Contract Packaging Sales.
David’s vision for Progressive Laboratories is to provide premier quality, highest standards and integrity in all we do in the manufacturing of products for our customers. To offer the best customer service in the industry and develop long lasting relationships.
David and his wife Carlotta have 4 children and 4 grandchildren and enjoy family time and travel.

With 20+ years of experience in the supplement manufacturing industry, Marisol Bice brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as Director of Business Operations. Marisol began her career in the production department, gaining hands-on experience and a deep understanding of every aspect of the manufacturing process.
Her journey through the ranks has equipped her with a comprehensive perspective on the operational needs and challenges within the industry. Known for her strategic thinking and leadership, Marisol has played a pivotal role in optimizing production workflows, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer service.

and Professional Sales
“Dr. Kyl,” as his colleagues call him, is a pioneer in the world of natural medicine. He is a patented inventor, noted researcher, lecturer, scientist, and is known as the inventor of America’s #1 best-selling brain supplement. Dr. Kyl has appeared on hundreds of radio and television programs across the country in the last decade – he’s the author of the acclaimed Brighter Mind® book series – and is a popular speaker providing Continuing Education programs for doctors. His passion is teaching doctors how to utilize and integrate nutritional therapies to improve cognitive function based on clinical research as published in peer-reviewed literature.
Professionally, Dr. Kyl received his doctorate of Chiropractic in 1993, and has since engaged in ongoing nutrition and natural medicine research. Most notably, with the support of some of the top scientists in the world, including a former senior scientist for the American Medical Association—Dr. Kyl filed a “Health Claim Petition” for the brain-nutrient Phosphatidylserine, which was approved by the Food and Drug Administration. This represents the first and only nutrient-based Qualified Health Claim for cognitive function to be approved in the FDA’s history.
As a result, Dr. Kyl received the James Lind Scientific Achievement Award, which acknowledges the accomplishments of those who have contributed to the scientific advancement of natural medicine and are helping to reshape the structure of American healthcare.
Dr. Kyl is a member of the American Botanical Council and a recipient of the Dr. James W. Parker Award.
Inside Sales Manager
Trish has dedicated over 30 years to the nutritional supplement industry and Progressive Labs. She began her career as a single mother of two boys, who are now grown and have blessed her with six grandchildren. As a key member of the sales team, Trish possesses extensive knowledge of each supplement and assists clients in selecting the best products for their needs. Impressively, she can identify each product by its number or name interchangeably.
After a brief transition to the Supply Chain department for three years, Trish deepened her understanding of the production process and the critical timing of each stage, from purchasing raw materials to assembling capsules and components.
Returning to the sales department in 2020, Trish assumed the role of Inside Sales Manager. She collaborates directly with large distributors and clients in the small-run private label program while maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals. Trish is instrumental in building and personally training the sales team, ensuring they work together to increase sales and expand clientele through exceptional customer service.
